Gladys Gibbs, Labour Candidate for Town Council

Hi, my name is Gladys, I am originally from North Yorkshire, so if I say I’m going to do something then I will.

I have lived in Lillington since the 1970s. 20 years ago I joined a group, who got together with the WDC and a group of residents, who wanted to make Lillington a better place to live. A year later after the meetings with all the Residents of Lillington, the Chain was opened and notice boards were put around the area, giving the residents more info, and helping them sort out their issues. A news letter was produced, and delivered all around Lillington. Then sadly the Chain was  closed in November 2018.

I am also a Rainbow Leader; I have done this for around 20 years. My paid job is being a Lollypop person and I really enjoy the work. I get to now people of all ages, so if people want to talk I am always around, in the Community Centre and the Library on a Thursday afternoon 1-30 to 3pm.

I am standing to be your Town Councillor in the election on Tuesday 29th October 2019, along with my good friend Luc Lowdnes. Please vote for us and let’s work together to make Lillington’s voice heard.
