Hi, my name is Helen Adkins, County Councillor for Leamington Willes, and this is a quick update on my work during the COVID-19 lockdown.

As Labour Spokesperson for Adult Social Care and Health I have been:

✅Chasing issues in relation to care homes

✅Attending briefings with leaders – pushing issues in relation to interests of people of Willes

✅Lobbying the County Council for PPE for social care workers

✅Pushing issues such as re-opening recycling centres soon

✅Pushing for localised testing

✅Part of the bids process, whereby I have allocated £4,000 of my councillor grant to local South Leamington charities/groups. This will soon increase to £6,000.

✅Supporting people in casework and holding online surgeries

✅Delegated budget for Willes road crossing improvements – this will include speed bumps later in the year!
