Residents of Warwickshire, local parents and pupils are disappointed to learn about the sudden and recent changes to the Stagecoach bus passes at the start of this term (Sept 2018).

In some cases fares have increased by 48%, way above inflation and without any consultation.  This is clearly unfair and unaffordable for families especially  those with several children using the buses.

This price increase has had the perverse effect of encouraging parents to drive children to school – adding to congestion and pollution in our towns and causing more problems at our already overcrowded school drop offs.

We the undersigned are petitioning stagecoach to:

1) Reverse the increase in prices for school and student bus pass
2) Create the option to buy a home-to-school only ‘Study rider’ bus pass
3) Conduct a proper consultation with local residents to fully understand their transport needs
