Over the last few years Labour councillors have been lobbying both the District and County Council to take action to keep Sydenham clean and tidy, but despite their efforts they have faced a lack of funding at both authorities.

Your Local Labour Team in Sydenham, Navdeep Atwal, Helen Adkins and Mini Mangat, have launched the Tidy Up Sydenham community campaign, which calls on both the District and County Council to take action.

We the undersigned call on Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council to commit extra funding in the Sydenham area to:

  • Cut back overgrown, large, intrusive trees and shrubs in the area
  • Greater action on Fly tipping
  • Install more waste bins, including dog waste bins
  • Resurface backcourts on Gainsborough Drive area to make them safe and fit for purpose
  • Invest in air quality education and monitoring schemes
